A unique brass and enamel inkstand designed by Theo Nieuwenhuis (Dutch, 1866 -1951) and made for a Dutch gentleman, Mr F. Kranenburg
A very rare Dutch Art Nouveau inkstand with a polychrome enamel decoration of four-leave clovers, signs of the zodiac and arms of the city of Amsterdam on one inkwell and a clock dial on the other. Marked with the arms of the city of Amsterdam on one side, the intials FK on the other side and the year 1903. High 15 cm x 21.5 cm x 35 cm wide (high 5.9in x 8.5in x 13 ¾in wide)
