\u201cWinter exhibition The Hague Salon<\/p>\n

Three years ago, in The Hague, a fine tradition was born from the collaboration between three art dealers, who are specialized in Art Deco and Art Nouveau. Inspired by 19<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> century art salons, Jaap Nieuwenhuizen Segaar, Rachel Reijers and Marc Knook joined forces to organize a collaborative exhibition every season. The Winter exhibition, which is held on the 10<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> and 11<\/span>th<\/span><\/sup> of February, coincides with the 3<\/span>rd<\/span><\/sup> anniversary of their collaboration, and promises to be an extra special edition\u201d\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2026\u201dThe Winter exhibition will also present an overview of art works <\/span>that have been sold or borrowed to museums<\/span>. A particularly interesting piece is a unique copper inkstand from 1903, the sale of which to the The Hague Gemeentemuseum was recently finalized.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>

~Sold to the The Hague Gemeentemuseum and showcased at the upcoming art exhibition \u2018Art Nouveau in the Netherlands\u2019 (from 21 April till 28 October 2018) ~<\/p>\n

A unique copper and enamel inkstand, 1903, designed by Theo Nieuwenhuis (1866-1951), commissioned by mr. F. Kranenburg, an Amsterdam lawyer. The lids of the inkwells are decorated with four-leaf clovers and the jars are adorned with signs of the zodiac. One jar shows the Amsterdam coat of arms, the other shows the face of a clock. Marked with the date 1903, the Amsterdam coat of arms and the initials FK.<\/p>\n
