a very rare porcelain vase<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

An octagonal base with four loop-handles and long neck, decorated with spider chrysanthemums in shades of orange, red, yellow and green on a white ground. High 27 cm. Stamped factory mark, painted year code, painters monogram and order number 152, model number 34.
\nSince 1899, their first year of porcelain production, the Rozenburg factory only produced 62 pieces of this model 34 with the extravagant design. This vase was painted in early March 1913 by Sam Schellink and this one, together with the other 4 handled vase with orange and red chrysanthemums in our collection, were the last ones, model 34, the factory would produce.
\nMost likely due to the fragile design, only very few of the model 34 have come to market in the past 100 years. To our knowledge only the Dutch Rijksmuseum has one in their collection. Another one is in a private collection and we have had one more in our collection, decorated with purple and blue chrysanthemums.<\/p>\n
