*Around 1930, the Hague collector A. van Vollenhoven assembled an extensive collection of Rozenburg porcelain in just a few years. His purchases also stimulated him to conduct a thorough research into the history of the factory. Van Vollenhoven worked so thoroughly in this regard that he owned one or more pieces from each production year. The Rozenburg documentation built up by him can be regarded as the first serious attempt to record the history of the Rozenburg pottery factory.
