Very rare vase of light brown clay with a rather psychedelic decoration, typical for Colenbrander, of butterflies and prumes and where the glaze is “dripping” it seems the prumes are rotting. The special matt glaze was designed by Harkink for the Zuid Holland factory. The painted mark of a Dutch flag with an H for Hoying, Harkink and Holland, painters mark W v H for Wim Van Ham. Incised number P 256. Designed by T.A.C. Colenbrander, high 20cm.
