Like Siegfried Bing’s ‘Le Japon Artistique’ (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siegfried_Bing), another important source for inspiration for the Rozenburg painters, was the album of plates called ‘Fantaisies Décoratives’ by J. Habert-Dys. The influence clearly shows in this Japonistic wall plate. Here’s a video of dancing herons:
