‘Art Nouveau in the Netherlands – Art Nouveau in The Hague’
We’d hereby like to invite you to our spring exhibition in The Hague salon!
The exhibition ‘Art Nouveau in the Netherlands’ was launched in The Hague Gemeentemuseum on April 21st. We sold a unique inkstand (1903) by Theo Nieuwenhuis to the Gemeentemuseum for this exhibition. We also loaned various art works for the exhibition, including several lustre-glazed vases decorated with fish motifs, from around 1910, by Amphora Holland, Haga Purmerend and St. Lukas Utrecht. These pieces are on display at the exhibition and are (still) for sale in our gallery!
During our spring exhibition, Jan de Bruijn, curator of Applied Arts at the Gemeentemuseum, will give a lecture in de gallery about the exhibition at the museum. Please reserve early for this lecture, as space is limited. You can reserve by filling in the form elsewhere on this page.
At the spring exhibiton, we will once again present several top pieces from the European Art Nouveau and Art Deco period 1880-1940. Included are unique posters, sculptures, glass art by Daum Nancy and Copier, furniture by Lion Cachet, Dijsselhof and Nieuwenhuis, pottery vases by Theodoor Colenbrander, and porcelain by Rozenburg The Hague.
We warmly welcome you to our exhibition, and invite you to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat!
