Rozenburg Den Haag earthenware wall plate 1897, with a rare polychrome painting of a dragon. This large domed plate, model 91, is 44½ cm in diameter. The painting was done by Hartgring, Hakkert, Honing, Stam and Van Rossum, in October 1897. Painted factory mark,year mark for 1897, work order number 975. The charger also has a blind mark from the foundry; work order number 440 (from September 1897) and the archives show that of the 17 plates that were cast in that order number, 8 (!) were rejected.
